I want to go on and on about how good our experience was, but I don't want it to get so busy I can't get another reservation.
We stayed 2 nights. The 2 best nights anywhere. We practically had the whole place to ourselves.
One tip, somehow drive to the resort in a car. The bus will get you close, and our bus driver did suggest he drop us off after passing the resort. Downhill walk instead of uphill. That was super thoughtful of him. The bus will not stop at the resort or pick up. Short walk for the most part either way.
The entire staff were very good at their jobs. Wow unbelievable how well we were treated. The site in the evenings was almost magical, with the lighting casting shadows from the trees.
The Hot Springs were amazing. We tried everyone of them.
Don't forget to go to the sauna building where the nice lady will help you with an ice cold beer.
We had a great time. So much so, I'm not sure I even want to try any other Onsen. I felt at home here and can't wait to go back.
Thanks again for making our time there the BEST!
Amazing! Highly recommended for any onsen lover, especially those who enjoy onsen hopping in the forest. The ryokan has 18 rooms (most with private onsen baths), 4 family/private baths, public bath (opened 24hrs!) and a stone bath/spa, all beautifully nestled within a forest located above a stream. The ryokan was not as formal as some of the older and reputable ryokans in Japan, but simply allowed its guests to enjoy and explore the property ground without disruption. Unlimited drinks at dinner, snacks throughout the stay were just minor pluses compared to the remarkable scenery and fresh air!
The best place to stay for hot spring in Miyagi, Japan. The rooms are spacious and there is an open-air bath where you can soak alone in nature. The entire grounds of the inn are in harmony with nature, so insects and beasts come here. The food is also delicious. The clerks are courteous and helpful.
Absolutely exquisite place. From the moment you arrive (be it by car/taxi/bus/walk), they will come greet you at the parking lot and escort you in, and everything else they do they treat with the highest level of customer service I've ever seen. Combine that with beautiful & surprisingly well-equipped rooms (internet at 200Mbps+ up/down, a Dyson Supersonic hairdryer, and a modern Sony TV in my living room) as well as, of course, the beautiful private baths both at your room as well as one of the 4 others available throughout the property. Easily the best onsen I've ever been to, and I'll be sure to be back eventually.
We had wonderful experience here!! Thanks to all the receptionists here, they are so kind, helpful and polite.
Went to Daikon no Hana for summer vacation with my friend, who went two months ago for her birthday with her family. The staff there were very quick to recognize her, greet her warmly, and ask about her family. It made the first impression …
Amazing property set in a quiet forest. Very secluded, private and great for relaxing. Great food, very fresh ingredients and well prepared and presented. ||Lots of private onsen to choose from, I recommend 2 nights minimum stay if you …
A very Japanese experience for some very American visitors. Daikon No Hana is a collection of beautiful buildings and cottages stair-stepping through a heavily wooded area. We enjoyed one of the larger suites with its own private onsen …
